Parent Committee
Mission Statement:
Massachusetts Elite Gymnastics Academy Girls Gymnastic Parent Organization “MEGAGGPO”, formerly NESAGGPO was incorporated as a non- profit corporation under Massachusetts state law in March 2005.
MEGAGGPO exists for the benefit of all female gymnasts that are competitive team participants. In addition, the team parents are committed to working together as a group to ensure that all girls are provided the opportunity to compete during the current gymnastics season.
The purpose of the parents’ organization is to raise funds to cover a portion of the following team expenses: team competition fees, team uniform costs, specialized team training, and coaches’ meet stipends and travel costs. As a non- profit corporation, it is our goal to eventually cover all TEAM costs in the future through our fundraising efforts. Individual gymnast expenses will ALWAYS be the responsibility of each parent, and will never be paid for with Team Funds.
Officers
The Executive Board is comprised of 4 director positions. The positions of the non-profit corporation are President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. They are volunteer and the directors do not receive any compensation for their efforts. They manage the day to day affairs and financial resources of the corporation. The Board is self-perpetuating and each position is considered filled until such time as that individual resigns. Board vacancies are filled by the approval vote of the majority of the existing Board members and coaches. General Board related questions may be emailed to board@megagpo.org
