Congratulations to Coach Levon, who was named 2022 Men’s Junior Coach of the Year at US Championships in Tampa.

Congratulations to MEGA’s Fred Richard for earning a spot on the 2022 Senior Men’s National Team. After 12 rotations of competition last weekend at US Championships in Tampa, Fred placed 4th All Around, 3rd on Floor Exercise, and 2nd on High Bar. 

Also competing were MEGA Alums Ian Lasic-Ellis (now at Stanford) and Matt Cormier (now at Penn State.) Each boy had an outstanding meet. Congratulations to Ian on making the National Team and to Matt for earning a spot on the Senior Development Team.

Two-time men's junior all-around champion Fred Richard successfully defended his 2021 vault title and added gold medals on floor exercise and still ring at PanAms . Fred was only one of the Team USA athletes who made us proud. Please see the results here.

Congratulations to Fred and Levon for being recognized at Nationals for their achievements in Men's Gymnastics. Fred received the 2022 Mas Watanabe Recognition Award for being the top scoring Senior Gymnast, and Levon received the 2022 Roberto Pumpido Recognition Award for being the coach that can produce the top scoring Senior Gymnast. Way to go, Team MEGA!

Special congrats to MEGA gymnast Frederick Richard on his outstanding performance in Stuttgart, including GOLDS on PB and VT. Congratulations to Coach Levon and the rest of Team USA as well.

U.S gymnasts sweep men's and women's team and all-around gold at 2021 Junior Pan American Championships

Team USA wins!

We are very proud of our MEGA boys and Coach Levon for their outstanding accomplishments at the 2021 Junior Pan American Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico. Frederic Richard placed 1st All-Around, 1st on vault and horizontal bar, 2nd on floor exercise, and 3rd on still rings. Ian Lasic-Ellis placed 2nd All-Around and 1st on parallel bars. Coach Levon was head coach for the USA Mens Team. Congratulations to Team USA and Team MEGA.

    We are proud to announce that MEGA's Frederic Richard took 1st place All Around in the 17-19 Junior Division at US Championships, earning him a place on the USA Junior National Team  He placed 1st in FX, VT, HB, and 2nd in ST.  For details, please see this article:

Richard, Petrosyan take 2021 U.S. Gymnastics Championships men’s junior all-around titles

    We are also very proud of our Ian Lasic-Ellis. Competing for the first time in the ultra-competive Senior Division, Ian performed very well.

This past weekend was the Team Cup in Katy, Texas. The U.S. junior men’s team won the team silver medal and claimed seven individual event medals. Ian, from MEGA, won Gold on the still rings with a 13.45!

Ian and Freddy had a great competition at the US Gymnastics Championships.  Ian and Fred both made the US National Team (Level 10).  Hard work and determination pays off!!

Matt Cormier competed at the Junior World Championships in Gyor, Hungary.  Matt's 13.633 earned him a spot in the finals for floor exercise. In the finals, Matt came in 6th place in the world.  What an amazing accomplishment!  This is huge news for Matt, Levon, and their MEGA family!

Congratulations and best of luck to Matthew Cormier and Coach Leveon from MEGA for making the USA team. As part of the U.S. Senior Men’s National Team May training camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, the USA Gymnastics men’s program determined the U.S. Teams for the 2019 Junior World Championships in Gyor, Hungary, and the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. Matthew will compete as one of three members of Team USA in Hungary from June 27th-30th. Coach Levon will be an assistant coach on Team USA. This is huge news for MEGA! Please send your best to both Levon and Matt for all of their hard work and dedication.

Two MEGA gymnasts, Ian and Matt, were selected to go to the Selection Camp for the First World Junior World Championships because of their strong performances at Nationals.  The Selection camp will take place at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.  Matt and Ian will go with Coach Levon to the Olympic Training Center as 2 of the top 6 gymnasts in the Nation. From May 22-May 26 2019, these six gymnasts will be competing for the top three spots (and one alternate) to go to Hungary and represent Team USA in the 1st Junior World Championships.  We are so proud that MEGA has 2 of the 6 young men who are competing for these spots!

MEGA is extremely proud to announce that our Ian Lasic-Ellis  has been chosen to represent Team USA in international competition this year.  Ian will be the youngest member of Team USA.

We are pleased and proud to announce that MEGA has been chosen as one of two sites for the 2017 Trampoline Development Center (TDC) program.  The TDC program is designed to develop trampoline and tumbling (T&T) in the United States by incorporating competitive trampoline into the curriculum in gyms across the nation to expand its Olympic pipeline. What this means for MEGA is that USAG will not only provide us with advice and materials to assist with developing our curriculum, National Coaches will visit MEGA to work hands-on with our coaches and athletes.  For more info, please visit https://usagym.org/pages/post.html?PostID=19555&prog=tt

DID YOU KNOW that MEGA offers T&T on Saturdays at noon with Coach Alec?  This class is our first baby step down the road toward competitive T&T.   It will focus more on tramp than on floor, but Coach will cover all of the T&T fundamentals.

And DID YOU KNOW that MEGA now offers Tumbling with Coach Hayro on Thursdays at 4pm?  This class will focus more on floor than on tramp - perfect if you want to work your flips on floor for dance or cheer or just purely for fun.

Both classes are mixed age, mixed sex, and mixed ability.  Space is limited so register soon to secure your spot(s.)
